Synopsis from Amazon
Maggie remembers hanging out at the gorge with her closest friends after a blowout party. She remembers climbing the trail with her perfect boyfriend, Joey. She remembers that last kiss, soft, lingering, and meant to reassure her. So why can’t she remember what happened in the moment before they were supposed to dive? Why was she left cowering at the top of the cliff, while Joey floated in the water below–dead?

As Maggie’s memories return in snatches, nothing seems to make sense. Why was Joey acting so strangely at the party? Where did he go after taking her home? And if Joey was keeping these secrets, what else was he hiding?

The latest novel from the author of The Tension of Opposites, One Moment is a mysterious, searing look at how an instant can change everything you believe about the world around you.

My thoughts
What first attracted me to this book was the plot. I'm normally not a fan of mystery/suspense but something about this book pulled me in.I wanted to know how everything would play out.

The reasons I enjoyed "One moment" was because of the characters. Maggie was an easy character to love, she was sweet and kind. I liked following Maggie's story as she discovered secrets and pieces together her memory piece by piece, all the while going through the stages of grief.

I also loved the supporting characters! Maggie had some pretty good friends. I felt like Maggie grows up, once she discovers certain things about all her friends. She learns what true friends are and who she can really count on. There will be some characters you love and find adorable, than some characters that you will just hate.

The author did a great good with showing the character's every emotion. You get to see how everyone feels about the death or their friend, and what kind of person Joey really was. The writing was flawless.I don't know if I'm just good a predicting endings (probably because I guess throughout the entire book)or if it was just predictable at times.Even with me having predicted some parts it didn't take away from the overall story and I still found myself fulled engrossed into the story/character's and thoroughly entertained.

Overall, it was a good book. It was a story about discovering yourself and learning that life can throw you a curveball, and in one moment everything you know can change.

I will be looking for more from this author
