Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood?Do you read a certain genre if you're feeling depressed or happy?
A:Yes! When I'm sad or depressed I only want to read a cliche romance novel were I know at the end everything will be OK. If I'm happy I can read anything else. But sometimes I go through reading funks were I only want to read certain things and if I try to read something else I will more than likely NOT enjoy it.So I try to read books based off how I'm feeling because my mood can change an entire book for me.
I think if you are in a bad mood, a sappy romance with a happy ending is about required :)

Hopping through. It's really hard to get out of reading funks. That often happens after I finish re-reading the Harry Potter series.

I agree Crystal! A good romance tends to pick me up as well.

OH I get like that, I went thru a long reading funk nothing worked, I actually had to walk away from books (I know gasp) but it was the only thing that worked.

I'm the opposite to you, reading sad depressing books when I'm in a bad mood!

I can understand that you go for those books. I don't really like them, but I do tend to go for books with a certain happy ending ^^
