No Place to Fall by Jaye Robin Brown Review
It has been a while
since I reviewed books so I may be a little rusty. However, I really enjoyed
this book. I loved that the book had the perfect mix of friendship, romance,
and teenage drama. I was able to finish this book quickly and it completely consumed
my time for multiple hours on Saturday until I was finished.
The characters were well developed, and Brown perfectly
showed the “real” and constant struggle of a teenager life. There is drugs,
sex, bad decisions, and fake friends in high school. On top of high school drama and friends; Amber also has A LOT going on at home with her family. Brown showed
all Aspects of her life along with showing the humanity and growth in all of her
characters. My only slight problem with this book… which mostly stems from me
being well out of my teens. Which include some of the decisions Amber made; I understood
them from someone so young, but I didn’t always enjoy reading about it. Lol!
If you enjoy real characters, singing and coming of age YA
books. Then I suggest you pick this one up to read. I do not believe that you
will be disappointed.
I give this read 4 out of 5 plants.
